KENNEDY JORDAN & TRIPP McEACHERN

ZAXBY'S ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

 
 
Tripp has been a starter for the Cougars the past 3 seasons.  During that time, he has been instrumental in leading the Cougars to a 68-14 record.  Tripp scored his 1,000 career point earlier this season and he is the team’s leading scorer averaging 18 points per game.  Kennedy has been a statistical leader for the Junior Varsity team this season.  He has also seen playing time during Varsity games.

HUNTER SCURLOCK - ESCU PLAYER OF THE WEEK
 
 

Hunter’s parents are John & Cory Scurlock.  Hunter began attending Goodpasture in Pre-School and is a Junior playing his 7th year of Goodpasture Basketball.  Hunter has scored in double figures the last 2 games scoring 12 points last Friday against Clarksville Academy and 11 points last night against Davidson Academy.

AMMON TURNER - ESCU PLAYER OF THE WEEK
 
 

Ammon’s parents are Tony & Rita Turner.  Ammon began attending Goodpasture in the 1st Grade and is a Junior playing his 4th year of Goodpasture Basketball.  Ammon leads the Cougars in blocked shots and one of the team’s leading rebounders.  Last week, Ammon had 2 blocked shots and 8 points against Hume Fogg and followed that up with 3 blocked shots against Hunters Lane.

GRAY PHILLIPS - ESCU PLAYER OF THE WEEK
 
 

Gray’s parents are Jason & Leslie Phillips.  Gray began attending Goodpasture in the 1st Grade and is a Junior playing his 7th year of Goodpasture Basketball.  Gray is the team’s leading assist man averaging 3.7 assists per game.  He also ranks #2 in steals and is in the Top 5 in scoring.

McEACHERN SCORES 1,000 POINTS
 
 
On December 8, in the Boys Game @ Mt Juliet Christian with 4:06 to go in the 1st half, Tripp McEachern made a 3-point basket to become the newest member of the Cougar's 1,000 point club.  Tripp is a Senior that has been playing Varsity Basketball for the Cougars for 4 years.  He’s been a 3-year starter for the Cougars and has been the team’s #2 scorer the past 2 seasons.  Tripp is the team’s leading scorer this season.

NATE MUSGRAVE - ESCU PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 

 

Nate’s parents are Larry & Stephanie Musgrave.  Nate began attending Goodpasture his Sophomore Year and is a Senior playing his 3rd year of Goodpasture Basketball.  Nate is averaging over 12 points per game over the past 3 games and had a career high 16 points against Mt Juliet Christian.  Back in November, Nate signed to play college basketball at Welch College.

TAYLOR TINNIN - ESCU PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 

 

Taylor Tinnin is this week's recipient of the Electric Service Credit Union Basketball Player of the Week Award.Taylor’s parents are Tim & Shelley Tinnin.  Taylor began attending Goodpasture his Freshman Year and is a Senior playing his 4th year of Goodpasture Basketball.  Last Friday, Taylor scored the team’s 1st 8 points outscoring DCA 8-7.  Taylor is the team’s #3 rebounder and #2 in blocked shots.

TRIPP McEACHERN - ESCU PLAYER OF THE WEEK
 
 
Tripp McEachern is this week's recipient of the Electric Service Credit Union Basketball Player of the Week Award.  Tripp’s parents are Don & Christi McEachern.  Tripp began attending Goodpasture his Freshman Year and is a Senior playing his 4th year of Goodpasture Basketball.  Tripp is the team’s leading scorer averaging 20.5 points per game shooting 48% from 2-point range and 41% from 3-point range.  He scored 28 points at White House Heritage and 21 points against Sycamore this season.

MUSGRAVE SIGNS WITH WELCH

 

 

Nate Musgrave, a senior starter for the Cougars, has signed to play basketball next season at Welch College in Gallatin.  Nate has played in the Goodpasture Basketball Program for the past 3 seasons.
